     KIWASSA LAKE
ACCESS TO 23 MILES OF WATERWAY

Kiwassa Lake is located in the Adirondacks and is about a mile long with a nice sized island in the center. One end of the Adirondack lake, our end, is surrounded by forested preserve and the Adirondack State Park, meaning you'll simply see naturally wooded shore front at this end of the lake. At the other end of the Adirondack lake, there are about sixty homes.

Water Access
From Kiwassa Lake and Kiwassa Lake Outlet you will have ac
cess to 23 miles of Adirondack waterways. The lake is connected to the Saranac Chain of Adirondack lakes but since there is only one way in and out it is not a thru traffic lake, in other words, boats are not zooming thru on their way to another lake! It stays relatively quiet for that reason. As a matter of fact, lots of people don't know we exist, and years ago that's why this Adirondack lake was named, Lonesome Pond!

Saranac Lake Chain of Lakes in the Adirondacks
From the B&B you are able to travel by boat, to the Village of Saranac Lake, which was voted an All American City! The popular Adirondack route from Kiwassa Lake takes you through Oseetah Lake into the Village of Saranac Lake where the Saranac River begins. You may also enjoy an Adirondack waterway trip 40 miles through scenic Adirondack lakes, ponds, rivers & streams, & go through State locks into the Adirondack State Preserve. Lake & stream fishing for trout, bass, perch, northern pike, whitefish & panfish is available as well.

Location:
In the Adirondack Mountains just 3 miles by car from the Village of
Saranac Lake and 10 miles from the Olympic Village of Lake Placid
