About Kiwassa
Lake in the Adirondack Mountains
Kiwassa Lake is located in the Adirondacks and is about a mile long with a nice sized island in the center. One end of the
Adirondack lake, our end, is surrounded by State owned lands and the
Adirondack State Park, meaning there are no camps, homes or condos at this end! Just naturally wooded shore front.
At the other end of the Adirondack lake, there are about sixty homes.
Water Access
From Kiwassa Lake you will have access to
23
miles of Adirondack waterways. See map below.
The lake is connected to the Saranac Chain of
Adirondack lakes but since there is only one way in and out it is not a thru traffic lake, in other words, boats are not zooming thru on their way to another lake! It stays relatively quiet for that reason. As a matter of fact, lots of people don't know we exist, and years ago that's why this
Adirondack lake was named, Lonesome Pond!
Location:
3 miles by car from the Village of Saranac Lake in the
Adirondacks.
